In the last Year the project had worked with 1868 High Risk Group sex worker community in Mancherial. Sneha has began its HIV prevention project in 2017 with TSACS/NACO support. 1868 sex workers have been benefited through clinical services on STI management and counseling, referral services on HIV, ART and TB, free condom supplies, community events and NGO.
A cost effective means of reducing HIV spread is through the implementation of Targeted Intervention amongst person most vulnerable to HIV/AIDS, such as Sex workers, Truck drivers, Migrants, Men Sex have with Men (MSM) and Injecting Drug Users (IDUs). Targeted Intervention with core composite (FSW and MSM) is running with Telangana State AIDS Control Society (TSACS) and National AIDS Control Organization (NACO) support, aligned with National AIDS Control Programmer IV guidelines. The goal of NACP-IV is to halt and reverse the epidemic. The key strategies include prevention, treatment, care and support.
